Another way to keep them up to 10 degrees Celsius cooler, is to put wood shavings on the floor, and then throw ice (crushed or small cubes) on top of the shavings. Works a treat. Safe travels.

THEY JUST GET BETTER...
Pictured @ 3 and pictured @ 9 years of age. People often ask us "what is the main Speckle Park breed advantage over other breeds". Our answer is always "cow longevity - structure and udder". These Speckle Park cows seem to just get better after 10 years of age and can often go 15-16+ lactations.
If you can harvest 5 or 6 extra calves from a great cow, that is a lot of added value especially when you incrementally multiply that over 50, 100 or 200 cows.
For Underhill SPECS this is why we have bred Speckle Park for 12 years and plan to breed them for many more years!

We have also partnered with JC Cattle Co to buy any bull calves on the pairs for $3,000 CA (at full discretion to buyer). As an example, if you buy a pair for $10,000 CA you can simply leave the bull calf behind and pay $7,000 CA for the bred cow. Gives options to buyers who do not have use for a good bull calf.
